introductions.

Howdy! My name is Heidi! :] I'm from a fantastic town in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains of Idaho. I am currently working as a nanny in Virginia!
I am 19 years old and 80 pounds overweight. Gross, huh? I have a condition called PCOS that, among other things, makes it super hard for me to lose weight. That's not an excuse, but it's a major set back for sure.
It's super hard for me to watch my friends drop pounds and inches while practically doing nothing knowing that weight loss is such an obstacle for me. I almost dread spending time with them because I spend the time thinking about how much I wish I could be like them.
I'm pretty good at eating healthily and drinking lots of water. My main issue is getting and staying motivated to get moving and working out. I love to be outside and to hike and canoe and such things, but each time it gets harder and harder, so I try less and less.
One of the girls I nanny is only 10 years old, and she has like 0% self esteem because she thinks she is overweight. It breaks my heart. I see so much of me in her. She asked me to do Pilates with her in the mornings, and I'm excited. It will give us each a way to motivate each other and to feel great about ourselves!
This blog is another way for me to try to stay motivated. I am going to post every day. It might start out as a food, exercise, and picture log, but it's going to be so much more than that! This is a Documentation of a Journey! This is my story. This is me fleeing fubsy. :] I know that this is a really personal adventure, but you're more than invited to come along for the ride. I know that I'll need all the support I can get!
